So what? When you have the real players in there, you don't know.
That's why I like it. Run in passing formations and pass in running formations.
It confuses the other team and causes you to not be as predictable.
I agree with the rest of your point. I like being spread out on the goal line. Just in that particular scenerio, the run was so obvious.

If the starters are in, in that same exact scenerio. I would bet run and be right 80% of the time. You have one yard, a TO, 20 seconds, and 4 downs. I don't care what formation you come out in, you're running the ball there. Or you're Pete Carroll and you're an idiot that cost your team the Superbowl.
But that's fine.
You still have the field spread though, which means less players in the box.

I'm not disagreeing that the formation is a good one to use on the goal line.

I watched him play a lot...as in, every game he's ever played in college.
