Mark Trumbo's best year. Years. 2016 Mark Trumbo. I can see that for a few years. Nelly Cruz 2014 with Os works too. Basically if it clicks the 2012-2016 Os wouldve loved him.

And just who would all those guys be? Start with Colton Cowser?   He's 9 for 37 since being sent down. Sure he'll get better. Maybe. But not sure its realistic to think you are going to replace all three of those guys. We won't make trades and we won't sign guys for any kind of money or long term deals.

Mountcastle said he heard something pop when he injured his shoulder in an AB tonight against the Cardinals. He looked incredibly sad. I’m incredibly sad. He deserved to be a part of all this, and has been a major contributor, particularly in the 2nd half. So sad for Mounty. Heston Kjerstad up to replace him.

I didn't know the potential severity (?) when I replied to your post in the Kjerstad thread. But still, being able to pull from the top of a loaded deck is really what you want to be able to do.

If Kjerstad is to replace Mountcastle on the active roster, that'll require a 40-man move. Does someone get DFA's or do we end this nonsense about Felix pitching again this year and put him on the 60-Day IL?

 

Bringing Kjerstad up makes sense strategically since we'll be facing a string of righthanded starters.

So Kjerstad hits well over the final weeks and Mountcastle is able to return for October?  I'll deal with this problem if it happens!

I think that is how they get both Kjerstad and Means to the playoff roster.

 

However if he starts 2 for 10, we may need to DFA him.
