BB King was playing a show at a hall in 1949 when two men got into a fight and ended up setting the hall on fire. King escaped the building, but realized he left his guitar inside. He ran into the hall and saved it. It turns out the two men were fighting over a girl named Lucille. King vowed never to fight over a girl, and named all his guitars "Lucille" as a reminder.
