Looked like 3 of them were about even not far before the end... then Pharoah turned it on, and the others ran out of gas...

 

How much of Pharoah turning it on when he did was the horse vs. the jockey deciding when to do it?

That was great. American Pharaoh... really battled there. What a finish.

Jockey. He kept him close as long as he needed to and then turned it on. Once he was right there at the final turn I was pretty sure it was over.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

Frosted came from like 11th at one point. Finished harder than anyone. Not sure why he wasn't positioned better.

Frosted came from like 11th at one point. Finished harder than anyone. Not sure why he wasn't positioned better. 

He ran great, but the speed horses never really fell back. The three of them set a reasonable pace (rare for the Derby), and Frosted was the only off the pace type to come running. 

 

I ran first with Pharoah and last with Upstart. 

 

Tough to pull of that kind of "Exacta"..

Far Right netted me the 9th pick in my fantasy football draft this year so I've got that going for me which is (kee)n ice.
