I listened to "New Adventures" on my flight home from Chicago this morning.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Now OPS sucks.  Got it."

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

I haven't watched MTV in years, but I will definitely watch this.  Please post a reminder here when this is set to premier so I don't forget about it!

R.E.M. for me is a very solid band. I probably lean more towards the older work but I do enjoy some of their later stuff as well.

Some of my favorites in no order

-Sweetness Follows

-The End of the World .... (yeah it's overplayed but it's still good)

-The One I Love

-Don't Go Back to Rockville

-Driver 8

-Radio Free Europe

-Finest Worksong

-What's the Frequency Kenneth?

-Fall on Me

-So. Central Rain

I really liked Supernatural Superserious which came out in 2008 too.

Seth, did you get around to watching this? It was real good. Mike Mills looks like he's about 12 in some of the early interviews. I also never knew that the reason they credited every song's writing to all four members was so that royalties were all split evenly between the four of them.

Saw a band the other night...covered Man on the Moon, which was awesome. And hilarious because in the 80's the band was sort of referred to as an REM rip-off.

Anyways, listening to Murmur now.

Happy 62nd birthday to Michael Stipe. Did a double take when I saw his age, but then I remembered that I just turned 50 myself, so....Anyway, my favorite song: From their Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction.
