I had Julius Thomas in 3 leagues, Romo in 2. Romo and Dez almost got me 80 points alone in one league. Makes up for leaving Hilton on my bench in 3 leagues.

Won my big money league by 2.5 points thanks to Dez Bryant getting tackled on that 80 yard reception. I had Romo and his 51 points on my bench while Vick and his 11 points was at QB. I don't think I have ever gotten that lucky in fantasy football before.

I also had the same romo/Vick situation. It cost me that matchup. I think Vick is backup status now. Which is I guess how he was thought of before the season anyway.

But Keenan Allen came through for me. Between Allen and Blackmon I gave good advice this week, for once. I expected more from Bernard though. Tannehill was ok, swing and a miss on Rashad Jennings, Cecil Shorts good as well.

I got off to an early lead (I was up by about 80 at the end of the 1 PM games) and never really had to worry. I had a family thing and was shocked to see how much Romo/Dez Bryant got, but no need to panic, I still won by 30+. If you had told me those would combine for 65 and I'd still win fairly easily, I wouldn't believe you. One of my better fantasy days.

Just gotta play the matchups. In Yahoo the favorable matchups will have the opposing team for next week in green (or yellow or red), and in ESPN it will actually give you the opposing rank against TE. I've done decent streaming TE the past 3 weeks in one league.

Yeah I know, but just figured it should be said out loud for general FFB help purposes. Dunno what the matchups look like for next week, but I'd watch the QBs before I picked one. If BUF signs Matt Flynn, who is a short, WC passing QB, Chandler could have a huge uptick. With Megatron hurt, and DET thin at WR you'd think Pettigrew will get some more red zone looks, but he's going to go to the RB to open things up first.

If I'm not mistaken, TEs have greater potential for success against cover two defenses. Figure out which TE is facing that is guess. I don't know off the top of my head.

I don't think he is backup status at all. He had 79 yards rushing and 100+ yards passing before he got hurt in the 2nd quarter. There were a few dropped passes that would have helped him too. He was 1 yard away from a rushing score as well. Fantasy wise he wasn't bad vs KC. His only bad game was vs Denver. He would probably have scored a TD or two if he didn't get hurt and ended up with 25 or so points depending on league settings.

 

This week I would start Romo over Vick anyways even if Vick was the one who scored 51 last week. I always go by matchups. Romo has Washington and Vick has Tampa Bay. If Foles doesn't take over the starting job I still think he's a QB1 once he gets back and will only start Romo over him if he has a good matchup.
