Call me un-Marylandish, but I could never get into lacrosse. Maybe because it's a "spring" sport and, obviously, I prefer another spring sport.

I think there is a real divide between "baseball" people and "lacrosse" people. Most everyone I've met (though not all) who has enjoyed one in particular has openly disliked the other, at least among players. I'm quite meh on the issue myself.
I think I just have so much patience for sports with a symmetrical field where an object is placed by some means into a defended goal.
That said, uh, go Towson lacrosse

Lacrosse always takes precedence over baseball for me at this point in the year. As does hockey. But I played lacrosse my whole childhood.
That being said, I've been to a O's game already, but no lax.
You Towson alum as well? Nadelen has that defense on point.

Terps fall to OSU 9-6. Very underwhelming performance through the last few weeks. Lost to unranked Hopkins. Inability to win face-offs is killing them. May not even get an NCAA Tournament home game.

In a pretty crazy twist, Maryland's women's lacrosse team just got knocked out of the B1G Tourney by Ohio State as well. It's certainly not the sport at the top of everyone's list (or even near the top), but most analysts believe that the 2015 Maryland Women's Lacrosse team could very well be the best that the sport has EVER seen. Crazy amount of talent coming in locally, and Tom Peace (HS lax expert and former BSL Radio host) told me that they're just going to keep getting even better. Crazy. NCAA Tourney ahead. They could very well repeat as champs two years in a row.

Towson vs High Point right now in a play-in game. Winner plays Notre Dame this weekend in the first real round of the tournament. I like the Tigers with their strong defense tonight, but the Irish will be a tough matchup for anyone this year. I think ND is one of the most balanced teams, despite a slow end to the season.
10-8 Towson...

10-8 Towson...
Looked ugly early on. High Point scored the first 5 goals in 11 minutes to make it 5-0. But Towson got it together and held them to just 3 goals the rest of the game.

Goalie goal! Albany's goalie just took it down the field himself and scored to end the 3rd quarter. Threw a nice stick-fake in there too before sticking it top corner. And the guy's name is Blaze. Only in lacrosse.
Awesome highlight play to start the tourney.
Used to kid about having a kid named Blaze.
