We got a hotel in downtown Asheville so we can walk to a bunch of breweries. We will also be spending a night in prime ACC territory (Raleigh) and check out a couple of their breweries. We'll also be doing some hiking, visit a couple zoos, go to the Biltmore, get some bbq, and drive back on the Blue Ridge Parkway. Can't wait!
That's actually a pretty cool part of Carolina. Took a couple of family trips to Hickory as a kid. Was cool going to the mountains.

Went to Savannah and Charleston last weekend. Loved them both. Savannah casts a spell on you with its Spanish Moss trees shading out the entire city. You can also drink in public. A wonderful place.
Charleston was also great. A little more foo-foo than Savannah, but a great town. Took a tour of Ft. Sumter. Walked around the town looking at the old houses built with slave money.
Highly recommend these both.

Going to Sarasota in March. Will be going to Pittsburgh in March as well if the Terps end up there.
Florida Keys is a possibility in April, as is Boston.
Ocean City in May.
Buffalo/Niagara/Toronto in June.
San Francisco some time in the fall.
Vegas in early September.
Did Sarasota. Was ready to do Pitt, obviously didn't happen.
Ocean City is coming up not this weekend but next.
Should be a fun summer.

Looking like Hawaii later this year. Maybe September/October. Might try to parlay the Ravens @ SF game into the trip.

Wife and I are about to pull the trigger on Croatia in September. Anyone ever been?
Hawaii seems like it's rainy in Sept/October so we'll hold off on that.

I've officially hit vacation fever, as I do every year around Memorial Day. The 3-day weekend is a tease. Heading to the Outer Banks in Mid-July. Can't get here soon enough. An underrated aspect of the Outer Banks is being able to rig a TV up near the pull for the O's games.

So the big road trip got shelved for a couple reasons. Kelly and I will be going to SoCal for 6 days to visit my friends, hit up some breweries, and do some touristy stuff. We'll then be going to Denver for 3 days for more breweries as well as some hiking.
Which breweries?

We're thinking of a place to go in the fall for our vacation (we went to New Orleans last year). Thinking west coast...maybe San Fran or some shit.

San Francisco is my favorite city in the US. Highly recommended. Bring comfortable walking shoes.

Which breweries?
For SoCal, Stone and The Bruery for sure. Not sure otherwise as there are a ton to choose from. I'll do some more research, beyond that it will come down to where we are staying (will split time between the SD area and OC) and time.
Recommendations?

One of Kelly's best friends is moving to Seattle this fall. So with that and my friends in SoCal, I hope to one day take PCH between those destinations.
I've already done a fair amount of PCH, and it is great.

Some day I will live on the West Coast. I always said if I ever moved it would be to Boston, New York, Chicago or the West Coast (Seattle through San Diego). Unfortunately I have this pesky law license and I refuse to take another bar exam. However, I believe I can waive into Washington without taking an exam. California? Forget about it.
