I totally forgot they were down at the Arena.

I haven't been to the "Civic Center" since they remodeled, how does it look on the inside?

I didn't even recognize the place. I had no idea they remodeled it. Last time I was there was for the Rolling Stones over 10 years ago.

The last wrestling show I was at downtown was Smackdown in 2000.

The Rock came back and cut a promo on Jinder Mahal (didn't even know he was still in WWE) of all people on RAW

It was a good spot, but Rock seemed gassed at the end of the long spot.  The rumors are he is going to face Reigns in the upcoming show in Australia.

Rock was definitely blown up after the spine buster and People's elbow. Being in shape and being in ring shape are 2 different things.

They can't put the belt on Rock; not only would it not make sense but it's not like Rock is coming back for any length of time. In that vein, you already know what's going to happen so the match is just a novelty, with no real storyline value.

The next few months is going to be interesting though. It certainly seems like we're headed towards Rollins vs Punk to main event WM night 1 and Cody vs Roman 2 to main even night 2 but how exactly will we get there?

Rock is the real "Head of the Table". Rock v. Roman is a WM match only. But Roman won't lose. With the new world title in play, Roman can defend this thing once a year, and hold it for 4,000 days. They can push Cody to WM 41.

This is an interesting topic.  I like you assumed that if Rock returned it was going to be against RR at mania.  However Rumor has it, that there is big money on the table for Rock vs. Reigns in Australia.  Rock shouldn't win the belt, and he will not, but I think COdy and RR match up again at WM and Cody gets the belt.  All that said, they do have an unhealthy fascination with length of reign.  Who care, it is all scripted.

I didn't realize Elimination Chamber was going to be in Australia. Haven't been following closely at all. I'm not even really sure how the $$ works. I know for the Saudi shows, the Prince just says who he wants to see and cuts WWE a fat ass check. Storyline means nothing. But EC isn't a glorified house show. Who is paying for certain guys to attend from a democratic country? I feel like guys like the Rock don't return unless it's for WM. Much less a mid-PPV. Austin's return to fight KO wasn't at like MITB or Payback or something.

We also have to see who wins the Rumble still. And do they choose Reigns or Rollins at WM.

I could see something like Rock fights Cody at EC. We get interference from the bloodline. Reigns has to defend on both nights of WM. Rock on night 1, who is the real head of the table? Reigns wins. Cody on night 2 against a beaten-up Reigns. Maybe the Rock interferes, could aid Cody because of the Reigns feud. Could aid Reigns because "family". Rock could just take a bow after night 1 and call it a day. Assuming the Rumble winner choses Seth.

I think a Rock/Reigns throw away match at EC wouldn't give a legend the respect he deserves.

I'll throw this out there. The Rock's schedule is the whole reason this hasn't happened yet. It's not any lighter now than it was then, so to all those assuming Rock wins when he comes to challenge Roman...don't be so sure. It would make sense for an excuse to give Roman some time off, but his match with Rock and losing the title are mutually exclusive.

He could lose the title, which then puts Cody's chase of the belt and his finishing the story a storyline. Then Rock vs Roman for "head" is a good draw, but doesn't need the title for that, where say a Punk vs Cody match would. OR some intrigue, Orton vs Rhodes and Punk gets to feud with a debuting MJF.

He could win, and Cody challenges him afterwards.

I just wouldn't assume that Cody's chase gets frozen because Rock shows up. It's not like Rocky would be around to feud or defend the belt after.

I think Rock loses to Reigns in a one time match.  The show in Australia makes sense.

My issue is how good of a match Rock could put on right now.  It has been a long time.  That said, Stone Cold came back and put on a hell of show with KO.  Rock would have work quickly to get in ring shape, but he could do it.

I think Rhodes gets the belt at Mania.

Monday Night Raw, the longest running episodic show in television history, is moving to Netflix in January 2025.

Smack Down will go to NBC and Peacock will still stream Premium Live Events.

The new Vince stuff is wild.

For whatever reason, I'm not remotely surprised though. Rich, powerful dudes think they can do whatever they want and get away with it.

Vince McMahon being a depraved POS is the least surprising thing in the world. As far as I know he hasnt been linked to Epstein and thats shocking. But put him at the top of the list of names Id bet on if there is really is more to come

While I'm not surprised about the Vince McMahon lawsuit, all I can say is "Sheesh" about the lurid details.

Sadly, none of it is surprising. Dude is a sick human who should be locked away for the rest of his life
