Has anyone been to this and/or considering going ? It's at the state fairgrounds and I just bought two tickets for Kelly and I on Living Social for the Friday night event (March 13) which includes all you can drink beer and bourbon and a BBQ meal. $39 a ticket seems like a good deal.

Looks fun, was thinking of going to the National Harbor one. Maybe will do the Fairgrounds one.

Can't imagine it's a good idea to feed BBQ to people taking advantage of all you can drink bourbon.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

Well I think plenty of people in the South mix the two quite frequently. Now that doesn't mean it's a good idea, but just sayin.

I went a few years ago.  It wasn't a great event.  They give you a meal ticket, and I chose poorly.  I will say, it did turn me around on Evolution brews.

The Light Rail goes to the fairgrounds which is nice. Don't have to worry about drinking a lot and then driving home

Are you guys suggesting "mixing" the two is going to make a bunch of people throw up or shit their pants or something? I'm a little confused. I live off whiskey and meat and had a lot more stomach issues when I had a bunch of carbs in my diet.

I think it's just that overeating makes you sick, overdrinking makes you sick, and overdoing both is exponential.

No I'm saying that cleaning up puke made primarily from BBQ isn't something I'd like to be doing.

I see. I thought there were some sort of inherent properties that were going over my head.

Nope.  Just people eating BBQ and drinking too much followed by what you would expect to happen.
