In other words, and at this point in time, there’s a fairly reasonable chance that we will get to witness a 410-pound starting tight end and there aren’t many things that get more awesome than that and God bless you Art Briles.

Texas is on the right track with Strong. He isn't trying to pigeon-hole the team, he's basically running a spread offense now, which is completely different than his pro-style philosophy. I like Tyrone Swoopes, I think he'll make a big jump from his freshman to sophomore season, but they also have some other really talented QBs like Heard and Locksley. Still think they're a few years away from big-time stuff, though.

As the Rose Bowl does not fit the standards from the CFP... they will not be making any bids to host any playoff games in the near future. I've never considered myself a traditionalist... but that just isn't right.

What standards does it not meet?

Whatever they are, this is crazy... at first, I thought it was some onion thing...

This is all they said...

The Tournament of Roses said Thursday it would not bid on the next three CFP championship games spanning 2018 through 2020 because "our structure is incompatible with the bid requirements."

And I was incorrect. They won't bid for the NC game. But they'll still host playoff games at least. But still, that sucks.

The Rose Bowl = College Football. This is dumb.

I'm guessing they don't have enough luxo-skyboxes for zillionaire corporate big shots... what else could it be?
