The dam might be about to burst for the Dutch.

Somebody tell the Dutch they're not going through. The Danes parked the bus, controlled the midfield and developed a passing game. The Dutch wanted to go with flash and flare in the first game. That's a problem when you have difficulty converting off the through ball. The Dutch needed to go more technical and probably should have started Huntelaar and Kuyt instead of bringing them on too late. Kuyt is a very technical player, but he can't be inserted late and expect to be a difference maker when you haven't played his style of play the whole game.

Nobody should write off the Danes on the 20th anniversary of winning Euro as a major underdog. Besides, they've had the same coach for 12 years. Every player on roster should know what's expected of them in regards to a game plan.

Portugal just barely missed tying it up on a header to the upper right corner on a corner kick in the last seconds. Just high.

Great game.

Interesting game on it's own, but as a US fan, I like that the Americans have fairly recent wins over both. ('09 Confederations Cup over Spain, March victory in Italy.)

Don't think much was expected of the Italians in this tourney, would be a huge win if they could pull it off.

France vs. England is a huge match tomorrow.

Czechs really need to bounce back today if they want any chance at all of advancing. Russia can clinch their spot in the quarters with a win over Poland.

If there is one group match to watch it's tomorrow between Germany and the Netherlands. The Dutch will be playing for their lives after losing to Denmark and Germany might be the most talented team in the tournament.

So, call out sick and find a bar that serves European beer and enjoy!

Czech Republic races out to a 2-0 lead, just minutes into the game with their match with the Greeks.
