Meh, he's going to play in the NBA summer league, don't get excited.

Yeah, sounds like he's still trying to keep his hat in both rings. It looks kind of unlikely that basketball is going work out for him long term but for now it still seems like that's where his focus is. But still nice to see that he still has an itch for baseball.

Good News to an extent....he is fast approaching the time that every two sport athlete faces. Which one to pursue?
I think his better chance is baseball, but seems like Basketball is his first choice.

Its good news that he is even pursuing baseball at this point.

He'd probably instantly become the best pitching prospect, and perhaps best prospect in the entire system, if he decided to commit to baseball full time.

Can you think of a better pitching prospect? Maybe Harvey if he was ever healthy.

Ofelky Peralta's having a great season as a 19-year old at Delmarva.
David Hess is progressing nicely at Bowie. Chris Lee's made a nice step up.
I'd be excited if Connaughton rejoined the org but he's got a lot of catching up to do.

Having an outside chance to at least make a career in two different sports must be hard, especially if it's not immediately clear which one is most likely to happen. The time and work to step up your game is a probably a full-time proposition for either sport, I guess if his career as a NBA player resolves itself quickly he can get back to work in baseball without much difficulty, If it's in a few years there might still be time for him to get his arm back in shape again, but getting his career back on track will probably be harder.

My guess is he'd be back end of our top 20. He wasn't some stud before and he's missed a lot of time.
I hope we get him back and pitching, but this isn't us adding some top 100 prospect.
I was looking at the Orioles top30 on mlb.com several days ago and noticed they had put him at 29 and he hadn't even pitched yet.
That's actually really sad.

Fuck it, start him Sunday in Houston.

I've been really impressed every time I've heard him talk about this decision and how he is weighing his options.
