Two likely scenarios.

 

1. The P5 ends up being the P4.

2. The current P5 ends up being a new P5. The Big XII expands backfilling with a combination of the AAC and MWC. Or the AAC expands with the major players from the MWC and a selection from what's left of the Big XII.

 

The interesting thing then becomes what happens with the potential expanded playoff?
