I hate prevent defense. Rarely does it actually prevent anything...

 

I'm not crazy about it myself... but it usually prevents what it's designed to prevent... it's complete name is *not* "Prevent-a-score Defense"... it's "Prevent-a-QUICK-score Defense"... and it usually does exactly that...

If you told me Brees was 35/45, 420 yards and 3 TDs, I'd tell you the Saints won big.

We also just made the Saints a very desperate team vs the Steelers next week. They probably will lose but still, that helps.

Well, they had to throw it a lot which isn't always good.

Still, the Saints had well over 500 yards off offense.

Now, 125ish yards was on 2 plays..a trick play and a miscommunication...so, that's a little overrated there...not to mention the last drive where they,played prevent. Probably 200 yards right there.

So it looks like SD is the six seed, Ravens are seven. Ravens can at least move into the WC with a win next week.

We were at the game. Awesome experience and the Saints fans were total class. The people down here are so hospitable. We moved down to the ESPN booth afterward to watch the interviews and the police moved in and pretty forcefully made everyone leave the stadium. It was very odd considering the welcoming nature of the city. Anyway, great win.
