I think this is a trend we're likely to see spread throughout the college world over the next few years. It's interesting that:
1) Some of the female athletes and fans are not happy with the change
2) They are keeping the name for the women's basketball team (which is likely part of the reason some are not happy)
Also, I just want to mention that, when the revolution comes, the chancellor quoted in the story needs to be one of the first up against the wall for this:
