Call in to speak with Rob and Mike at: (347) 215-8391
@BSLRobShields

The Baltimore based show returns going back to its podcast roots. Tonight Rob and Mike will be joined by friends of the show, Seth Bondroff and Brian McGuire to discuss all things NBA. Playoff predictions will be made, the most compelling teams will be discussed including the Cavs, Thunder, Spurs, Bulls, Clippers, Warriors, Rockets and our semi local team, the Wizards. We will also discuss the best players in the league after LeBron and Durant. Some lively debate is likely to ensue.

Pedro gets his wish as the pod returns (will be live too, but it will be more pod than radio show) and he'll be on the first episode. Now we'll be lucky if 3 other people from the board listen since the topic is the NBA, but it will be fun to record nonetheless.

Well I knew 90 minutes would be challenging with the 4 of us, but we hit a lot of topics and had some good discussion.

The 4 of us have a total of 6 teams represented in our NBA Finals predictions, which goes to show how many teams have a legit shot this year.

Agreed....but, do you think there are more teams that could likely win the title this year vs years past?

I think, depending on what happens with OKC, that there are 8 teams that could win..that feels like more than in the past to me.

I'd say 8 teams as well, which is a little higher than normal.

Rose with another injury in an impressive win at Toronto. Biggest x factor in the league IMO.

Damn, we should have spent a few minutes on the Sixers and Lakers, who might not win 25 games between them.

They suck. It will be interesting to see how Kobe handles this season. Out of the two, at least the Sixers know where they're at now and are planning accordingly. The Lakers might still have delusions of competing.

They need to trade him.

There is baseball, and occasionally there are other things of note

"Making his own olive brine is peak Mackus."

"I'm too hungover to watch a loss." - McNulty

Would he approve a trade? Does he have much value with that contract? Decent chance at least one of those questions is answered with a no.

We didn't get that into it on the pod, but why so high on the Raptors Seth?

All kidding aside, I really like their backcourt, and especially now I like their bench.

Vazquez, Williams, and Patterson could start on some teams.

They were close last year. This year they take the leap!

We'll see.

Their backcourt is arguably the best in the league after Golden State, especially when considering the bench, but the frontcourt, not that strong. I think they're a good team, but will need help from Cleveland and Chicago in the form of injuries and/or really not meshing to make the Finals.

I'd agree with every word you wrote.

Ha. Sorry to disappoint.

Hoping to look like some sort of a hoops genius if Toronto makes the finals!
