For those not watching a meaningless football game tonight...

My 11 year old Daughter asked me who LL Cool j was.

I'm old as dirt.

Was pretty cool seeing Sir Paul and surviving members of Nirvana win best rock song.

My sister and I were joking about that when he made the "Momma said knock you out" reference. We both remember when he was an artist, and that song was 20 years ago.

I made it through an hour of the show. I don't think it's a personal best, but that's all I could do.

That song was 25 years ago.

Anyway, yeah, I have no idea who half of these people performing/winning are.

If less legendary artists put out the same song it wouldn't have won. Just a hunch.

Yeah, I'd agree with that. Still enjoyed the moment.

Yoko.

Random Access Memories was a lot of fun... really good album.

The Queens Of The Stone Age album ...Like Clockwork was phenomenal.

To quote Grandpa Simpson, "I used to be with 'it,' but then they changed what 'it' was. Now what I'm with isn't 'it,' and what's 'it' seems weird and scary to me. It'll happen to you."

Who know how many times I think about that line when listening to most newer music.

BTW...it's nothing against the record or album really. But cut the freaking act for 1 night or at least 2 min to accept your award.

The Grammys is a big collection of whack jobs.

And that closing musical act was just awful.

Queens of The Stone Age are one of the best rock bands on the planet right now... and Dave Grohl was on the drums, who is legendary in his own right.

The Grammy's is just not something people who aren't into and don't follow the music scene should watch. That's the bottom line.

I can't remember the last time I watched that shite spectacle. Tonight was a "PBS in the background while I took care of stuff" night.

As soon as she started that weird "dancing", I immediately made that connection. Glad I wasn't the only one.
