After a week off following their blowout win over Nebraska, Maryland heads back on the road to face off against Michigan State on Saturday evening. When these two teams met a few weeks ago in College Park, the Spartans held off a second half rally by the Terps to edge out a two-point victory. Tom Izzo's team has split their games since then, losing on the road to Wisconsin and beating Michigan at home. They've lost just twice at home all year, their season opener against James Madison and to Wisconsin in early December.
Michigan State has remained hot from beyond the arc in their last two games, shooting 43% from there in each game. Junior guard Jaden Akins was on fire against Michigan, shooting 7-for-10 from three. Maryland dominated the glass in their last matchup, and the Spartans have continued to struggle on the boards. The Terps will need to get back in transition more effectively this time, and take better care of the ball after turning it over 18 times the last time these two teams met.
