*I'm not saying CJ or Barry are the GOAT but I absolutely believe they are the two greatest talents I've seen play those two positions.

Mentioning Megatron in another thread got me thinking. It's spooky that IMO the two greatest pure talents at the RB and WR positions both retired at 30 yrs old after careers in Detroit while still seemingly having a lot left in the tank.

8 career playoff games between the two of them. The Lions won Sanders' first playoff game in 1991, then lost the next 6 he appeared in through 1997. Detroit didn't make the playoffs again until 2011 with Calvin, but of course lost that game (despite his 12 rec for 211 yards and 2 TD!) and the other year Megatron made it in 2014, as well as last season's appearance. They have only that single aforementioned playoff victory since 1957.
Even when Detroit is given wonderful things, they still suck. Things might be frustrating around here lately, but we're still well ahead of many other cities.

Its not particularly easy to get into the playoffs. It's even harder to win. Buffalo is ecstatic to be in even though I think we know and they know they have no shot to make any real noise. Jacksonville just made it for the 1st time in a decade. Certainly does keep things in perspective.8 career playoff games between the two of them. 11 franchises (Jacksonville, Washington, LA Rams, Tennessee, Tampa Bay, Oakland, Miami, Cleveland, Buffalo, Detroit, and Cincinnati) have gone at least 10 years since their last playoff victory.
